Annually, Harvard graduates around the world work with the Admissions Office through their local clubs to interview thousands of applicants for undergraduate admission. Our Club in Southern Connecticut is no exception, and we have a large pool of qualified applicants every Admissions season.

Alumni volunteer to meet with the students and submit online evaluations in time for the Admissions Committee meetings in Cambridge.

It is always interesting and gratifying to meet students from our area and advocate for them. An alumnus' local perspective can go a long way to clarify a student's achievement, character and interests.

Interviewers routinely share that they find great reward in the discussions with candidates.  Applicants often say that meeting with a thoughtful and engaged alumnus allowed them an enjoyable way to showcase their best self!

beginning this fall, you may interview students either in-person at a mutually-agreed neutral location or on any online platform from the convenience of your living room.  If you've ever thought about interviewing, but never had the time, this is your year.  To get started, simply use your HarvardKey, visit www.alumniportal.fas.harvard.edu to complete your Information Form, and express an interest in joining this club.  If you have any questions, please contact our Schools and Scholarships Chair, Jennifer Tombaugh AB '90, MBA '95 at jbtombaugh@yahoo.com.
